Quality should not be left to chance!
The Dorfner Group’s maxim of “Quality for people and buildings” stands for a consistent focus on quality. This leitmotif is a core component of our corporate philosophy and an appeal to each and every employee.
We ensure the quality of our services by means of a comprehensive quality management system. This centres on our TQM system with integrated management system and the computer-aided quality assurance system DOQUM, which is used in all divisions throughout the company. This system acquires data based on the directory of room sizes, schedule of services, job descriptions and complaints, and helps us to achieve long-term quality assurance at the agreed level.
The DOQUM version for the catering division has been derived from the workflows and quality requirements of everyday practice in a large-scale kitchen and can be adapted to suit individual circumstances. The hygiene controls and critical control points set out in the statutory HACCP concept are integrated into the DOQUM System.
DOQUM is the only system in the industry to be certified in accordance with DIN EN 13549.
Quality officers in the respective divisions ensure that the agreed services are rendered correctly. In addition, we regularly undergo inspection by independent external testing institutes, and transparently document the results for our customers. We also regularly conduct customer surveys. For you as a customer, this means confidence in the quality that we offer; for us, it means always keeping your needs in mind.
DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 for Quality management
Certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 involves putting a company’s quality management system to the test. Those that can provide evidence of this certificate have established a management system that is structured in accordance with the standard, meets customer requirements as well as statutory and official requirements in the production of goods and rendering of services, and is constantly striving to improve.
DIN EN ISO 14001:2009
Certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001:2009 confirms implementation of the international standard and its requirements. The overarching goal of this standard is to promote environmental protection in harmony with socioecological aspects. The aspects audited include implementation of environmental policy, environmental targets and programmes, as well as reduction of the environmental effects identified within the company.
GEFMA guidelines 710/720
GEFMA guidelines 710 and 720 complement the DIN EN ISO 9001 quality management system with an industry-specific quality standard for facility management (FM). The aim is to provide evidence of FM-specific managerial skills and to ensure, continually monitor and improve the legal conformity of processes and procedures. In addition, certification in accordance with GEFMA 710/720 guarantees transparent service relationships with clear duties and responsibilities, reduction of operator risks and presence of standards for FM sub-processes, such as the start-up phase or the commissioning and monitoring of downstream contractors.

RAL-GZ 992/1 Commercial linen
The RAL Quality Certification Mark 992/1 is awarded by the Gütegemeinschaft sachgemäße Wäschepflege e. V. [German Certification Association for Professional Textile Services] for process control in commercial laundries. Testing and constant monitoring by an independent research institute must prove that the reprocessing of linen for the commercial sector such as hotels, catering, industry and trade is of a high quality.
RAL-GZ 992/2 Healthcare Linen
In addition to the requirements of RAL Quality Certification Mark 992/1 for commercial linen, the company must also demonstrate compliance with certain hygienic requirements in order to be certified in accordance with RAL Quality Certification Mark 992/2 for healthcare linen. Criteria include the separation of “clean” and “unclean” areas within the laundry facility, the use of disinfecting washing processes and the presence of a qualified hygiene officer.
RAL-GZ 992/3 Linen from Food Processing Businesses
The RAL Quality Certification Mark 992/3 for linen from food processing businesses is awarded by the Gütegemeinschaft sachgemäße Wäschepflege e. V. independently of other quality certification marks. Both process control and compliance with strict hygiene standards are monitored during a six-month candidate membership. As a certified laundry facility, the company guarantees the proper and hygienic preparation of all types of textiles used during manufacturing and processing of food.
RAL-GZ 992/4 Clothing of Care Home Residents
The RAL Quality Certification Mark 992/4 for clothing of care home residents provides the highest degree of hygiene safety for care homes. For the certification, it must be proven that work is being carried out in accordance with RAL Quality Certification Mark 992/2 and/or 992/3. Furthermore, the hygiene status will be confirmed by an expert from the neutral testing institute as part of the annual unannounced inspection. The recommendations in the “Textiles in care homes” guidelines, which were initiated by the German Certification Association for Professional Textile Services, are used as basis for the detailed requirements of 992/4.
The Dorfner Group places great emphasis on sustainability. This is proven not only by our certifications under DIN EN ISO 14001 (environmental management system) or DIN EN ISO 50001 (energy management system), but also by our undertaking to comply with the guidelines issued by Qualitätsverbund umweltbewusster Betriebe (QuB, the quality association of environmentally-conscious businesses). In addition, the Dorfner Group is a member of Umweltpakt Bayern, in which the Bavarian government and the Bavarian business world have declared their express dedication to reliably taking action to protect the environment over and above laws and ordinances.
Concrete measures for sustainable environmental protection include:
- Reduction of waste
- Water and energy savings
- Environmentally-friendly disposal of cleaning agents and packaging
- Use of electric cars, vehicles that run on natural gas, and diesel vehicles equipped with environmentally-friendly technology
- The Dorfner Module System – our internally developed cleaning system, which is based on the latest knowledge from science and technology and regulates the dosage of cleaning agents in an environmentally-friendly way
- Sustainable purchasing for our catering customers, with a focus on regionality and seasonality
Alongside ecology, there are two more pillars that have a major role to play when it comes to sustainability: economics and social matters. We always act sustainably and keep subsequent generations in mind in all corporate decisions.
Dorfner meets its social responsibilities as an employer through fair working conditions, negotiated rates of pay for employees, occupational health management and family-friendly work time models, among other things. We base our approach on the occupational safety management system of BG BAU (the professional association for the construction sector), OHSAS 18001 and the requirements of RAL Gütegemeinschaft Gebäudereinigung e. V. (the German certification association for facility cleaning).
Sustainability is a matter of the heart for us: we wish to make a difference for the future of our company, our customers, our employees and the next generation.
In Dorfner Catering’s sustainability report we set out what has been achieved thus far and what our aims for the future are. We will be happy to provide you with a copy upon request.
Hans Dorfner Academy
In addition to certifications in environmental protection, quality management and catering, we believe that quality requires competent, experienced and specially trained personnel. At Dorfner, a comprehensive education and training programme is provided as standard for all staff and managers. In order to implement this efficiently, we have set up the Hans Dorfner Academy – named after the company’s founder – at the Selb site. Whether quality assurance, hygiene management, nutrition, economics, rhetoric, technology or EDP, the Dorfner Academy offers the perfect seminar for every employee.
Negotiated rates of pay and costings
We guarantee that you will be dealing with a responsible and trustworthy partner:
- For example, our membership of RAL Gütegemeinschaft Gebäudereinigung e.V. (the German certification association for facility cleaning) proves that we have undertaken to ensure negotiated rates of pay for our staff.
- Our costing clearly shows that the set hourly rate covers both the official wage and the statutory contributions – a criterion that you may value when choosing your service provider, particularly in terms of the German law on the posting of workers (Arbeitnehmerentsendegesetz, AEntG).
- Our performance figures – i.e. the number of square metres a cleaner cleans per hour – are defined in such a way that the cleaner is actually able to clean his or her area within the allotted time.
- If desired, we can even carry out a test clean so that you can see the quality of our cleaning service and the realistic nature of our performance specifications for yourself.
